Gender equality in the municipality of Karmøy
How can a cultural centre function as social infrastructure for gender equality, by and with local youth?
That was the brief driving this research and design project, developed as part of the master course Strategic Design for Society at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO), in collaboration with Karmøy municipality and the pilot project Drivhuset.

How
This project consisted of two weeks of research, followed by a week of field work in Karmøy, with local youth. We also interviewed local organisations, observed existing youth spaces, and ran co-creation sessions with the local teenagers.
This process resulted in 19 ideas organised across seven strategic themes. The final delivery was a printed playbook, designed to be used as a starting point for dialogue, policy development, and experimentation within the municipality.
